When I look back on my younger years as a creative person it doesn’t feel surprising that I’ve ended up becoming a leatherworker and weaver by trade. I think a lot of young people grow up braiding, weaving, and stringing beads. I was fortunate enough to turn these skills into a very rewarding career.

I began my career in the entertainment business making costumes in 2011 while attending FIDM studying fashion design. Initially interning on the Conan O’Brien Show, I was then fortunate enough to intern for a specialty costume company building Superman’s suit for the film Man of Steel. Over the years I went on to gain experience in many areas of the entertainment business in costume and wardrobe departments from tailoring for touring musicians including Bruno Mars, working live television shows such as Dancing with the Stars and America’s Got Talent, and eventually landing in the world of feature films.

My interest in leather and weaving began to take shape when I was working on the film Avatar: The Way of Water. Making braided and woven belt samples, I began to get really interested in the process and see a lot of possibility and endless opportunity for creativity. Shortly after this production, while working on a film called Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, a designer tasked me with making some intricately woven leather armor and I was hooked. I completely fell in love with the process. I knew I not only wanted to work exclusively with leather, but I wanted to weave as much as I could; thus, Weave and Roam began to take shape.

Working as a specialty costume builder on film and television shows including Killers of the Flower Moon, Chief of War, and a live action version of Disney’s Moana came next which allowed me to further develop my interests in the crafts of weaving and leather working while honing my skills. When I wasn’t at the studio or in the shop building costumes I was at home feverishly designing and making my own textiles and custom prints.

I’ve had the goal of branching out into woodworking and custom made furniture for many years but it was challenging making that transition while still living on the road doing film work. 2025 has been a really big year for me as I’ve been able to begin this really exciting chapter adding woodworking and furniture making to my repertoire.

Currently, my focus is working with clients to create the perfect statement pieces for the spaces they inhabit everyday. I also create leather textiles, handbags, and have light fixtures and a few other exciting projects on the horizon. Each day in the workroom is a new adventure for me creating unique, beautiful, and intricate leather art. I welcome custom made orders and special requests to help you create the desired texture for your interior design project. I look forward to working with you to make your space beautiful and uniquely yours with handmade, artisan leather items.
